The parakeet, also known as the Budgerigar, is the best known cage-bird kept throughout the world. Populations of escaped birds have established themselves in some areas, particularly southern Florida. Parakeets naturally occur in Australia where they are one of the most common wild bird species. They can be found throughout the continent, often in enormous flocks said to sometimes blacken the sky.

Though breeders have created a wide range of color varieties, wild parakeets share a typical coloration. This consists of an emerald green underside, a yellow and black barred back and head, a yellow face and blue-green tail.

* The chirp sound will be a little different for each color.
* The perches are included (plastic).
* Parakeet can be removed from its perch and held on your finger (not free-standing w/o its perch).

Sometimes referred to as "the bandit bird" for its black mask, the Common Yellowthroat is found throughout North America. Listen for their loud, distinctive "wichity, wichity, wichity" song ringing out from the dense vegetation they inhabit in wetlands, prairies, and pin forests. Their diet consists of insects and spiders. Females and immature Common Yellowthroats lack the strong black mask.

The Saw-Whet Owl, is our newest addition to the Breezy Singer family. Realistic function and features that replicate the movements and sounds of the real Saw-Whet Owl. He will turn his head and wings, move his eyes and offer the familiar "hoot". Fitted with a motion sensor, this wise old bird of prey will turn its head and wings, move its eyes back and forth and offer a "hoot" when you approach. This electronic owl is fitted with a microchip that replicates the sound of a forest denizen common to the northern woods of the US and Canada.

The diminutive Northern Saw Whet owl is fairly common yet rarely seen across southern Canada and the Northern United States. He favors dense forests where he sits silently watching for prey, which includes mice, shrews and insects. He usually makes his nest in old woodpecker cavities.

This colorful songster is found in a variety of habitats including backyards, woodlands, and streamside thickets. Originally a bird of the Southeast, it has expanded its range northward in the last 100 years and is now common throughout the eastern U.S. and parts of eastern Canada.
